quick week

This past week went very quickly...unfortunately so has the weekend. Now it is 11:30 and I'm sitting at the computer with about a paragraph done on a 10 page paper due Tuesday. Well, once again, I can say that the weekend was worth the suffering I'll endure yet this evening and tomorrow.

Friday housed the ever exciting tornado warning which forced an audience which had packed Deusenberg recital hall for a sweet senior recital into the basement for nearly 45 minutes and of course some beverage consumption enjoyed with Hitch upon returning to the room from the 7:30 recital at about...9:45.

Saturday housed sleeping in and watching a movie I've now forgotten on ABC Family before a 7:30 orchestra concert which, without a tornado warning, managed to get us back to the room at about 9:45 to begin some more consumption to be enjoyed with Ice Age 2. The scrat steals the show so hardcore in that movie, save for the fabulous broadway style musical number, "Food, Glorious Food!" Great movie. Can't wait for a third to come out shortly after my 24th B-day!

Today housed getting up waaaaay to early (5:30 AM) to leave for Joliet, IL and play two worship services with the trumpet quartet at First Lutheran Church. This was quite the experience as the second service was done mostly in Spanish for the large Hispanic population in that area and neither service saw the trumpets accompanied by organ, so we made things up as we went along. All in all, whe showed the university well and brought home money to eat for the next week. On the drive back, Kristin spotted the Birger-mobile much to our glee. Meghan went cruising on past on her way back to Valparaiso. An CCB concert and a walk out to Fazoli's concluded the fun portion of my meeting and as you can tell by my deciding to post a blog, I've not yet committed to the idea of doing homework...not giving up on the weekend just yet.
